A roadmap to key traits of invasive Drosophilidae
ABSTRACT Biological invasions have intensified in recent decades, mostly driven by international trade and travel, raising significant concerns, particularly regarding insect pests. Once non‐native species establish, they can disrupt natural ecosystem stability, undermine agroecosystem sustainability and cause substantial economic losses.

SOIL FAUNA CHARACTERIZATION IN Eucalyptus spp. PLANTATIONS
http://dx.doi.org/10.5902/1980509810545Forest soils provide good conditions for the development and the establishment of soil fauna, manly by the deposition of litter. However, monoculture systems conducted in a single substrate by providing food, can promote the development of certain animal groups over others, causing outbreaks of pest species.

PREVENTIVE AND CURATIVE CONTROL OF Oidium eucalypti IN Eucalyptus benthamii CLONAL SEEDLINGS
One of the main diseases occurring in clonal nurseries of Eucalyptus spp. is powdery mildew caused by the fungus Oidium eucalypti. This work evaluated the efficiency of biological products based on Trichoderma spp. and Bacillus spp. applied as preventive

The loss of an Indigenous‐maintained She‐Oak woodland in southeast Australia
A 2600‐year multi‐proxy palaeoecological record (pollen, charcoal, and sediment) from Balfour Swamp, east Gippsland, reveals the persistence of an open, grassy She‐Oak woodland maintained by GunaiKurnai. This vegetation community, resilient to climatic variability and fire, was lost following the disruption of Aboriginal land management and replaced by

Lethal (mortality) and sublethal (fecundity, fertility) effects of the biopesticide Prev‐Am Plus (containing ~6% sweet orange essential oil) were assessed on the tachinid fly Exorista larvarum. Mated females were exposed via contact and oral routes across five concentrations (0.25%–20%) using protocols adapted from Apis mellifera.

ABSTRACT Invasive species pose a serious threat to biodiversity and result in significant economic costs. Although much effort is devoted to understanding invasive processes, some aspects are poorly understood, such as the early stages of invasions and the reasons for invasion failure.
