Effectiveness of corridors varies among phytosociological plant groups and dispersal syndromes. [PDF]
In agricultural landscapes, semi-natural habitats are scarce and remaining habitat patches are largely isolated. However, linear landscape elements might facilitate dispersal of plant species through the agricultural landscape matrix. We investigated the

DEA Cross-Efficiency Aggregation with Deviation Degree Based on Standardized Euclidean Distance [PDF]
Data envelopment analysis (DEA) has been extended to cross-efficiency to provide better discrimination and ranking of decision-making units (DMUs). Current researches about cross-efficiency mainly focus on the non-uniqueness of optimal solution of linear programming and information aggregation.

Euclidean Distance Degree of Projective Varieties [PDF]
Abstract We give a positive answer to a conjecture of Aluffi–Harris on the computation of the Euclidean distance degree of a possibly singular projective variety in terms of the local Euler obstruction function.

Safety risk assessment model for patrol inspection of buried oil and gas pipelines in tunnels
The patrol inspection of oil and gas pipelines has the characteristics of randomness and fuzziness. In order to effectively assess the risk level of patrol inspection of buried long-distance oil and gas pipelines in tunnels, a safety risk assessment ...

The Euclidean distance degree of smooth complex projective varieties [PDF]
We obtain several formulas for the Euclidean distance degree (ED degree) of an arbitrary nonsingular variety in projective space: in terms of Chern and Segre classes, Milnor classes, Chern-Schwartz-MacPherson classes, and an extremely simple formula equating the Euclidean distance degree of X with the Euler characteristic of an open subset of X.

Damage Evaluation in Tempered Vacuum Glazing via Multivariate Statistical Methods
The performance of tempered vacuum glazing (TVG) strongly depends on the structural parameters and degree of damage of the products. In this paper, attention was paid to six performance indicators which had a major influence on the damage of TVG, and new

The Estimation of the Degree of Genetic Divergence Using Cluster Analysis of the Varieties of Wheat [PDF]
A field experiment has been carried out at eight different environmental sites in the province of Diwaniya for seasonal years in 2014 and 2015 to test nine varieties of different origin wheat (Triticum aestivum L) and assembled in homogeneous groups and ...

Degree four plane spanners: Simpler and better
Let $\mathcal{P}$ be a set of $n$ points embedded in the plane, and let $\mathcal{C}$ be the complete Euclidean graph whose point-set is $\mathcal{P}$. Each edge in $\mathcal{C}$ between two points $p$, $q$ is realized as the line segment $[pq]$ and is ...
