Elranatamab in Relapsed/Refractory Multiple Myeloma: Mechanisms, Clinical Evidence, and Emerging Perspectives

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, Volume 117, Issue 1, Page 42-54, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) remains associated with poor outcomes, particularly in patients exposed or refractory to proteasome inhibitors, immunomodulatory agents, and anti‐CD38 monoclonal antibodies. Targeting B‐cell maturation antigen (BCMA) has emerged as an effective therapeutic strategy, prompting the development of ...

Site‐Selective B─H Activation via HAT Toward Xanthyl‐closo‐Carboranes as Bench‐Stable Precursors of Organosulfur Boron Clusters

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 24, 8 June 2026.
A light mediated direct regioselective B─H functionalization, via hydrogen atom transfer (HAT), is described. Unexplored xanthyl‐closo‐carboranes as novel bench‐stable and versatile platforms to access sulfur‐containing boron clusters are reported for the first time.

The Skin and Oral Hydration Benefits of Caryophyllene Through Aquaporins 3 and 5 Type Modulation in Keratinocytes: in silico and in Vitro Research [PDF]

open access: yesJ Cosmet Dermatol
ABSTRACT Objective Skin xerosis and xerostomia are partially associated with decreased expression and molecular activity of aquaporins 3 and 5 types (AQP3 and AQP5) in skin epidermal cells. While cosmetic occlusive agents and emollients are effective in improving symptoms of skin dryness, maintaining intensive water transport and physiological ...

Ph‐Negative Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in the Older Adults: Biology, Therapeutic Strategies and Unmet Needs

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, Volume 117, Issue 1, Page 24-41, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) in older adults represents a growing clinical challenge, driven by an ageing population, adverse disease biology, and reduced tolerance to intensive chemotherapy. Although pediatric‐inspired regimens have improved outcomes in younger adults with Philadelphia chromosome (Ph)‐negative ALL, survival in older ...

Targeting the Menin–KMT2A Axis in Acute Leukemia: From Epigenetic Dependency to Clinical Translation

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, Volume 117, Issue 1, Page 132-143, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Acute leukemias characterized by a shared epigenetic dependency on the menin–KMT2A axis rely on aberrant HOX‐driven transcriptional programs that sustain leukemic self‐renewal and impair differentiation. This dependency is most evident in KMT2A‐rearranged and NPM1‐mutated acute myeloid leukemia (AML), but also extends to other HOX‐dependent ...

Encapsulin‐Protected Immunotherapeutic Complexes: Bacteria‐Derived Nanoparticles for mRNA Delivery to Eukaryotic Cells

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 21, Issue 11, 15 June 2026.
Here, we introduce a biological, self‐assembling supramolecular nanoparticle designed to encapsulate eukaryotic‐expressible mRNA within an encapsulin shell via an encapsulin‐RNA adaptor peptide (ERAP). This process occurs in bacteria, and the resulting complex can deliver its mRNA into eukaryotic cells, where it is expressed.
