ABSTRACT The properties of plasmas in the low‐density limit are described by virial expansions. Analytical expressions are known for the lowest virial coefficients from Green's function approaches. Recently, accurate path‐integral Monte Carlo (PIMC) simulations were performed for the hydrogen plasma at low densities by Filinov and Bonitz (Phys. Rev.

Formulas and Finite Sums Covering Beta-type Rational Functions and Euler-Frobenius-type Polynomials
The aim of this article is to derive some novel formulas and finite sums covering Stirling type numbers, the Frobenius Euler numbers and polynomials, the beta-type rational functions, and combinatorial numbers with the help of both generating functions and their functional equations, and also some special identities associated with special numbers and ...

Seismic analysis and design of tunnels within fault ground: A review
The research methods of seismic response of tunnels within fault ground, including field investigations, analytical solutions, physical experiments, and numerical simulations, and seismic countermeasures are discussed. The present study examines the shortcomings and limitations of the current research and design, and puts forward proposals for future ...

Rocking and Rolling of Rigid Polygons Under Seismic Excitation
ABSTRACT We present an event driven analytical framework for rigid cyclic polygons subjected to horizontal ground excitation in which uplift, impact, and successive pivot switching are treated within a unified non‐smooth dynamical description. Rolling is defined as a sequence of energetically admissible transitions between neighbouring vertices tied to

In this short note, we derive a formula for the values of the Riemann zeta function at positive even integers. The identity can be seen as a product identity of the Euler beta function as well and it is convenient in the sense that it is rather compact and does not contain analytical limits or integrals explicitly.

Exact Computation of the Color Function for Triangular Element Interfaces
We propose a robust algorithm, the Front2VOF algorithm, to compute the color function for triangular element interfaces in Front‐Tracking methods on a Cartesian mesh. ABSTRACT The calculation of the volume enclosed by curved surfaces discretized into triangular elements and a cube is of great importance in different domains, such as computer graphics ...

Patient Information and Surgery Decisions: A Discrete Choice Experiment
ABSTRACT Surgical treatments are offered more widely than ever before, increasingly to older and high‐risk patients. However, it is unclear whether patients making surgical decisions are fully informed about the risks of surgery and the available non‐surgical treatments.

Household Consumption Intentions by Income Group During Monetary Policy Easing and Tightening
ABSTRACT We investigate how the monetary policy interest rate affects Brazilian households' consumption intentions under two distinct regimes: monetary easing and tightening cycles. Using data from low‐ and high‐income households, we assess both the magnitude and the dynamics of this relationship.
