Monotone and fast computation of Euler’s constant [PDF]
We construct sequences of finite sums ( l ˜ n ) n ≥ 0 $(\tilde{l}_{n})_{n\geq 0}$ and ( u ˜ n ) n ≥ 0 $(\tilde{u}_{n})_{n\geq 0}$ converging increasingly and decreasingly, respectively, to the Euler-Mascheroni constant γ at the geometric rate 1/2.

Fast convergence of generalized DeTemple sequences and the relation to the Riemann zeta function [PDF]
In this paper, we introduce new sequences, which generalize the celebrated DeTemple sequence, having enhanced speed of convergence. We also give a new representation for Euler’s constant in terms of the Riemann zeta function evaluated at positive odd ...

GeneMiner2: Accurate and Automated Recovery of Genes From Genome Skimming Data [PDF]
ABSTRACT With the growing accessibility of low cost genome skimming, large‐scale recovery of target genes in non‐model species has become feasible, providing strong data for phylogenomic and evolutionary studies. However, existing tools for data assembly including Read2Tree, HybPiper, and GeneMiner still suffer from computational difficulty and ...

Accuracy of Euler’s gamma expansion without logarithm
The rational approximations for the Euler–Mascheroni constant using the Euler asymptotic expansion are obtained. The errors of approximations are evaluated. The numerical computations reflect the accuracy of the approximations.

Improvements of the bounds for Ramanujan constant function
In the article, we establish several inequalities for the Ramanujan constant function R ( x ) = − 2 γ − ψ ( x ) − ψ ( 1 − x ) $R(x)=-2\gamma-\psi(x)-\psi(1-x)$ on the interval ( 0 , 1 / 2 ] $(0, 1/2]$ , where ψ ( x ) $\psi(x)$ is the classical psi ...

Stochastic Models of Jaya and Semi-Steady-State Jaya Algorithms
The Jaya algorithm and its variants have enjoyed great success in diverse application areas, but no theoretical analysis of the algorithm, to our knowledge, is available in the literature.

Median Bernoulli Numbers and Ramanujan’s Harmonic Number Expansion
Ramanujan-type harmonic number expansion was given by many authors. Some of the most well-known are: Hn∼γ+logn−∑k=1∞Bkk·nk, where Bk is the Bernoulli numbers.

On the main constants in the probability theory
We consider the place of the main mathematical constants in the probability theory. The present situation of their elementary theory is discussed.

On Rational Approximations to Euler's Constant 𝛾 and to 𝛾+log(𝑎/𝑏)
The author continues to study series transformations for the Euler-Mascheroni constant 𝛾. Here, we discuss in detail recently published results of A. I. Aptekarev and T.

ABSTRACT We develop a unified mathematical framework extending classical moment theory from discrete integer orders to a continuous spectrum of real orders f>0$$ f>0 $$, providing a systematic statistical characterization of complex systems exhibiting power‐law behavior.
