Detection of Muscle Tension Dysphonia Using Eulerian Video Magnification: A Pilot Study
Journal of Voice, 2020To determine whether Eulerian Video Magnification software is useful in diagnosis of muscle tension dysphonia (MTD).Prospective.Adult patients scheduled in a tertiary care laryngology practice for evaluation of dysphonia were recruited between November 2016 and March 2017. Demographic and clinical data were extracted from patient charts.

Interactive Evolutionary Parameter Optimization for Eulerian Video Magnification
2018 IEEE Symposium Series on Computational Intelligence (SSCI), 2018This paper explores control parameter tuning for the Eulerian Video Magnification (EVM) process using a pair comparison-based interactive differential evolution (PCB-IDE) algorithm. Interactive evolutionary optimizers have a history of being applied to video/image post-processing tasks because assessing the quality of video data is objectively ...

Detection of limb ischemia based on Eulerian Video Magnification
Optics in Health Care and Biomedical Optics VIII, 2018The study of micro-motion amplification technology has been widely concerned. Eulerian Video Magnification is one of the methods of concern and affirmation. Ischemia refers to the lack of blood flowing in certain parts of the body, which can occur in the limb, heart, brain or other parts of the body.

Face Liveness Detection Using Eulerian Video Magnification and SIFT Algorithm
2020 IEEE International Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Information Systems (ICAIIS), 2020In this paper, face liveness detection method which is based on very short video is proposed. Firstly, spatial and temporal video processing is performed by using Eulerian video magnification. Next, the matching pairs between frames are extracted from the original video. Then, the paper constructs the feature histogram from the color difference between

Seeing the unseen: Could Eulerian video magnification aid clinician detection of subclinical Parkinson’s tremor? [PDF]
IntroductionEulerian magnification amplifies very small movements in video, revealing otherwise invisible motion. This raises the possibility that it could enable clinician visualisation of subclinical tremor using a standard camera.

Pulse rate assessment: Eulerian Video Magnification vs. electrocardiography recordings
12th Symposium on Neural Network Applications in Electrical Engineering (NEUREL), 2014Non contact pulse rate assessment is of interest for patients with cardio-vascular diseases. We tested the feasibility of the use of regular web camera for pulse rate assessment. The Eulerian Video Magnification was used for processing of acquired video sequences.

Noncontact SpO2 Measurement Using Eulerian Video Magnification
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2020Peripheral oxygen saturation (SpO2) monitoring is critical during surgery and in intensive care units (ICS). Over the last decades, several studies have addressed the noncontact monitoring of vital signs, but few reports have focused on SpO2. This paper presents an SpO2 monitoring method without physical contact with the patient using imaging ...

Wrist pulse measurement and analysis using Eulerian video magnification
2016 IEEE-EMBS International Conference on Biomedical and Health Informatics (BHI), 2016The wrist pulse reveals important information on the health status of a subject. The morphology and characteristics of the wrist pulse play a significant role in analyzing and diagnosing abnormal health conditions. In ancient China, measuring the wrist pulse was considered an important part of the traditional Chinese medicine.

Vital sign monitoring utilizing Eulerian video magnification and thermography
2016 38th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBC), 2016In this paper we present a proof of concept for non-contact extraction of vital signs using RGB and thermal images obtained from a smart phone. Using our method, heart rate, respiratory rate and forehead temperature can be measured concurrently. Face detection and tracking is leveraged in order to allow natural motion of patients.
