Low genetic diversity of Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) from Croatia

open access: yes, 2011
Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) is one of the most endangered mammals in the Mediterranean region. At the end of the 19th century it has been eradicated from most of the South European habitats, including the Dinaric Mountains. Characterisation of Eurasian lynx Lynx lynx den sites and kitten survival

open access: yesWildlife Biology, 2007
Abstract We retrospectively investigated characteristics of den structures and den sites used by female Eurasian lynx Lynx lynx in the Jura Mountains and the northwestern Alps of Switzerland. During 1983-2000, we discovered 30 natal and 40 maternal dens belonging to 26 females. Important den structures were closed, i.e.

Evaluating trace elements as a conservation concern for Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) in Switzerland

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety
The Eurasian lynx, an endangered species in Switzerland, faces major threats including traffic collisions, illegal killing, and low genetic diversity. However, the impact of trace element (TE) exposure on its conservation remains poorly understood.

Cranial morphometry of the Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx L.) from Croatia

open access: yesVeterinarski arhiv, 2010
The last specimens of the autochthonous Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) in Croatia were exterminated in Primorsko-Goranska County around the year 1903.
