Carefully tuning the composition of mixed lead‐tin mixed iodide‐bromide perovskites results in an optimal‐bandgap semiconductor for solar energy conversion. Homogenous crystallization of this perovskite involves a short time delay between deposition of the precursor solution and applying an antisolvent. Using a bulk additive and top surface passivation

Overcoming PEG Antigenicity: Statistical PEG Isomers Reduce Antibody Binding
Conventional poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) is commonly applied in biomedicine, but is now known to induce antibody formation. Here, it is shown that the development of “randomized PEG” (rPEG) featuring glycidyl methyl ether (GME) comonomers decreased antibody binding.

Salt Water Drops Slide Faster: Ionic Modulation of Drop Friction
Salt ions markedly accelerate water drops on conductive substrates coated with nanometer‐thin hydrophobic layers. Across diverse electrolytes and surfaces, higher ion concentration consistently lowers kinetic friction by reducing contact angle hysteresis.

Functional compensation between clarin‐1 and clarin‐2 in cochlear hair cells. Hearing loss associated with CLRN1 mutations shows striking phenotypic variability; however, the underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. This study reveals that clarin‐1 and clarin‐2 function cooperatively in cochlear hair cells to sustain mechanoelectrical ...
