Notes on the monogonont rotifers from submerged mosses collected on Hopen (Svalbard)
In this contribution 17 samples of submerged mosses, collected on Hopen (Svalbard), were studied for their rotifer content. Fourteen taxa have been identified, eleven to species level. Among these species six are new to Svalbard.

Report on rotifers from Barentsøya, Svalbard (78°30' N)
Altogether 16 plankton and 18 submerged moss samples, from 18 different water bodies on Barentsøya, were analyzed for their rotifer content. The samples were collected on 29 August 1985.

This work reports the first distributional record of Filinia camasecla Myers, 1938 in south India from the Cochin backwaters on the northern stretch of Lake Vembanad. Earlier, the distribution of this species has been known from Oriental (South East-Asia) and Neotropical biogeographical realms.
