Data-driven Feature Tracking for Event Cameras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
Because of their high temporal resolution, increased resilience to motion blur, and very sparse output, event cameras have been shown to be ideal for low-latency and low-bandwidth feature tracking, even in challenging scenarios. Existing feature tracking

EVtracker: An Event-Driven Spatiotemporal Method for Dynamic Object Tracking

open access: yesSensors, 2022
An event camera is a novel bio-inspired sensor that effectively compensates for the shortcomings of current frame cameras, which include high latency, low dynamic range, motion blur, etc.

Event Camera Data Pre-training

open access: yes2023 IEEE/CVF International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV), 2023
This paper proposes a pre-trained neural network for handling event camera data. Our model is a self-supervised learning framework, and uses paired event camera data and natural RGB images for training. Our method contains three modules connected in a sequence: i) a family of event data augmentations, generating meaningful event images for self ...

Event Camera-Based Pupil Localization: Facilitating Training With Event-Style Translation of RGB Faces

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
An innovative approach to pupil tracking using event cameras is presented in this paper. Our method incorporates two primary processes: RGB-to-Event image domain translation and pupil localization utilizing Event Cameras.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Inter-event interval microscopy for event cameras

open access: yesPhotonics Research
Event cameras detect intensity changes rather than absolute intensity, recording variations as a stream of “event.” Intensity reconstruction from these sparse events remains a significant challenge. Previous approaches focused on transforming motion-induced events into videos or achieving intensity imaging for static scenes through modulation devices ...

Globally-Optimal Contrast Maximisation for Event Cameras

open access: yes, 2022
Event cameras are bio-inspired sensors that perform well in challenging illumination conditions and have high temporal resolution. However, their concept is fundamentally different from traditional frame-based cameras.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

How Many Events are Needed for One Reconstructed Image Using an Event Camera? [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences
Event cameras offer significant advantages over traditional cameras, including high temporal resolution, high dynamic range, and low power consumption. However, reconstructing images from the asynchronous events generated by these cameras presents unique
