Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials
2007Brainstem auditory evoked potentials (BAEPs) are electrical field potentials generated by stimulation of the auditory pathways. With repetitive auditory stimulation, reproducible electrical potentials can be elicited and recorded from scalp electrodes. These waves are generated by specific brain regions and occur at predictable intervals.

Digital Filtering of Auditory Evoked Potentials
Ear and Hearing, 1988Digital filters have been proposed by many authors for analysis and enhancement of the auditory brain stem response and related potentials. Because these techniques are unfamiliar to many, and require attention to underlying assumptions, an overview of the field is presented, with emphasis on limitations and risks of each method. Topics include Fourier

Monitoring Auditory Evoked Potentials
2010Monitoring of the auditory system makes use of subcortical evoked potentials [Auditory Brainstem Responses (ABR) and CAP recorded from the exposed auditory nerve]. These modalities of evoked potentials are not affected by commonly used anesthetics.
