Implantable CMOS probes for high resolution Electrical Imaging of Local Field Potentials Across the Rat Barrel Cortex in vivo [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
High-resolution recordings of extracellular potentials are fundamental for the study of neuronal networks, the basis of neuronal coding and transmission. Here we present an innovative method for an in vivo electrical imaging of Local Field Potentials using novel implantable neural interfaces with a high-density array of 256 recording sites and a ...

Towards direct neuronal current imaging via ultra-low-field MR [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
The feasibility of using ultra-low-field magnetic resonance (ULF MR) for direct neuronal current imaging (NCI) is investigated by phantom measurements. The aim of NCI is to improve the current localization accuracy for neuronal activity of established methods like electroencephalography (EEG) or magnetoencephalography (MEG) (~1 cm). A measurement setup

Psilocybin as a novel treatment for chronic pain

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Psychedelic drugs are under active consideration for clinical use and have generated significant interest for their potential as anti‐nociceptive treatments for chronic pain, and for addressing conditions like depression, frequently co‐morbid with pain.

Usage of Multimodal Evoked Potentials in Diagnosis of Changes in Central Nervous System in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesTürk Nöroloji Dergisi, 2011
OBJECTIVE: Evoked potentials are used in the functional assessment of sensory and motor pathways. Conflicting results have been reported in different studies about the value of evoked potentials in demyelinating diseases.

Multi-command Tactile Brain Computer Interface: A Feasibility Study [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2013
The study presented explores the extent to which tactile stimuli delivered to the ten digits of a BCI-naive subject can serve as a platform for a brain computer interface (BCI) that could be used in an interactive application such as robotic vehicle operation.

Assessment of cortical activity, functional connectivity, and neuroplasticity in cerebral palsy using functional near‐infrared spectroscopy: A scoping review

open access: yesDevelopmental Medicine &Child Neurology, EarlyView.
Plain language summary: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/dmcn.16286 Abstract Aim To map and critically appraise the literature on the feasibility and current use of functional near‐infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) to assess cortical activity, functional connectivity, and neuroplasticity in individuals with cerebral palsy (CP).

Tremor as an intrinsic feature of juvenile myoclonic epilepsy

open access: yesEpilepsia, Volume 66, Issue 3, Page e47-e53, March 2025.
Abstract We aim to understand whether tremor may be an intrinsic feature of juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME) and whether individuals with JME plus tremor experience a different disease course. Thirty‐one individuals with JME plus tremor (17 females, mean age = 33.9 ± 13.8 years) and 30 age of onset‐ and gender‐matched subjects with JME (21 females ...

Obtaining single stimulus evoked potentials with Wavelet Denoising [PDF]

open access: yesPhysica D, 2000; 145: 278-292, 2000
We present a method for the analysis of electroencephalograms (EEG). In particular, small signals due to stimulation, so called evoked potentials, have to be detected in the background EEG. This is achieved by using a denoising implementation based on the wavelet decomposition.
