Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

FOURIER PROBLEM FOR WEAKLY NONLINEAR EVOLUTION INCLUSIONS WITH FUNCTIONALS

open access: yes, 2019
The Fourier problem or, in other words, the problem without initial conditionsfor evolution equations and inclusions arise in modeling different nonstationary processes in nature, that started a long time ago and initial conditions do not affect on them ...

Positive Steady States of Evolution Equations with Finite Dimensional Nonlinearities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We study the question of existence of positive steady states of nonlinear evolution equations. We recast the steady state equation in the form of eigenvalue problems for a parametrised family of unbounded linear operators, which are generators of ...

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Existence and uniqueness of positive mild solutions for a class of fractional evolution equations on infinite interval

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2017
Based on an equivalent integral equation of a new type for a class of fractional evolution equations, which is different from those obtained in the existing literature, the paper investigates a class of fractional evolution equations with nonlocal ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

New Jacobi Elliptic Function Solutions for the Zakharov Equations

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
A generalized (G′/G)-expansion method is proposed to seek the exact solutions of nonlinear evolution equations. Being concise and straightforward, this method is applied to the Zakharov equations.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.
