The evolution of kin inclusivity levels

Proceedings of the 2014 Annual Conference on Genetic and Evolutionary Computation, 2014
Altruism is a ubiquitous strategy among organisms ranging from microbes to mammals. Inclusive fitness theory indicates that altruistic strategies can be beneficial when an altruist acts to benefit organisms that share its genes. It is common for such altruistic strategies to be negatively affected by cheaters that do not act altruistically.

The Evolution of Educational Inclusion

This chapter provides a comprehensive cross-cultural analysis of educational inclusion practices in Poland, Israel, and Arab-Israeli contexts. Following the landmark Salamanca Statement, we focus on the formative period of 1994-2014. We examine the evolution toward inclusive educational frameworks while exposing unique challenges shaped by cultural ...

Partial Functional Evolution Inclusions with Finite Delay

2015
In this chapter, we provide sufficient conditions for the existence of mild solutions on the semi-infinite interval \(J = \mathbb{R}_{+}\) for some classes of first order partial functional and neutral functional differential evolution inclusions with finite delay by using the recent nonlinear alternative of Frigon [114, 115] for contractive multi ...

Optimal control of impulsive stochastic evolution inclusions

Discussiones Mathematicae. Differential Inclusions, Control and Optimization, 2002
Summary: We consider a class of infinite dimensional stochastic impulsive evolution inclusions driven by vector measures. We use stochastic vector measures as controls adapted to an increasing family of complete sigma algebras and prove the existence of optimal controls.

Evolution Inclusions of the Subdifferential Type

2000
In this section we study a second class of evolution inclusions, which are driven by time-dependent subdifferential operators. The t-dependence of the convex function φ(t, ·) is an important feature of our inclusions and general enough to incorporate cases where domφ(t, ·) ⋂ domφ(s, ·) = O for t ≠ s.

Convergence results for nonlinear evolution inclusions

1995
In the first part of this paper the authors consider the sequence of abstract Cauchy problems \((1)_n\) \(u'\in - \partial^- f(u)+ {\mathcal G}_n(u)\), \(u(0)= x_n\), \(x_n\in D(f)\), and the limit problem (1) \(u'\in -\partial^- f(u)+ {\mathcal G}(u)\), \(u(0)= \overline x\), \(\overline x\in D(f)\) (where \(\partial^- f\) is the Fréchet ...
