DGLAP evolution extends the triple pole pomeron fit [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2002
We show that the triple pole pomeron model \cite{CMS} provides an initial condition for a DGLAP evolution \cite{DGLAP} that produces a fit to high $Q^2$ experimental DIS data. We obtain good $\chi^2$ for initial scales down to 3 GeV$^2$.

Trace Amounts of Triple-Functional Additives Enable Reversible Aqueous Zinc-Ion Batteries from a Comprehensive Perspective

open access: yesNano-Micro Letters, 2023
Highlights A triple functional additive with a trace amount (1 mM) was proposed to protect Zn anodes. The additive lowers the hydrogen evolution reaction potential, encourages the formation of an in situ solid electrolyte interphase and shields the “tip ...

Stellar Evolution Constraints on the Triple-Alpha Reaction Rate [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2011
We investigate the quantitative constraint on the triple-alpha reaction rate based on stellar evolution theory, motivated by the recent significant revision of the rate proposed by nuclear physics calculations.

Once a Triple, Not Always a Triple: The Evolution of Hierarchical Triples That Yield Merged Inner Binaries

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
More than half of all main-sequence (MS) stars have one or more companions, and many of those with initial masses 10 yr) companions. Furthermore, both BSS binaries and DWDs exhibit signatures of WD birth kicks.

Novel Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza A(H5N1) Virus, Argentina, 2025 [PDF]

open access: yesEmerging Infectious Diseases
Genomic sequencing of reemerging highly pathogenic avian influenza A(H5N1) virus detected in Argentina in February 2025 revealed novel triple-reassortant viruses containing gene segments from Eurasian H5N1 and low pathogenicity viruses from South and ...

Atomic mixing mechanisms in nanocrystalline Cu/Ni composites under continuous shear deformation and thermal annealing

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2023
Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations are used to reveal the mechanisms of defect substructure evolution and atomic mixing in nanocrystalline Cu/Ni composites under severe shear deformation and subsequent thermal annealing.

The evolution of stellar triples [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics, 2020
Context. Many stars do not live alone, but instead have one or more stellar companions. Observations show that these binaries, triples, and higher-order multiples are common. While the evolution of single stars and binaries have been studied extensively, the same is not true for the evolution of stellar triples. Aims. To fill in this gap in our general

Contact Dynamics: Legendrian and Lagrangian Submanifolds

open access: yesMathematics, 2021
We are proposing Tulczyjew’s triple for contact dynamics. The most important ingredients of the triple, namely symplectic diffeomorphisms, special symplectic manifolds, and Morse families, are generalized to the contact framework. These geometries permit

Understanding patterns of HIV multi-drug resistance through models of temporal and spatial drug heterogeneity

open access: yeseLife, 2021
Triple-drug therapies have transformed HIV from a fatal condition to a chronic one. These therapies should prevent HIV drug resistance evolution, because one or more drugs suppress any partially resistant viruses.

Structural constraints on the evolution of the collagen fibril: convergence on a 1014-residue COL domain [PDF]

open access: yesOpen Biology, 2015
Type I collagen is the fundamental component of the extracellular matrix. Its α1 gene is the direct descendant of ancestral fibrillar collagen and contains 57 exons encoding the rod-like triple-helical COL domain. We trace the evolution of the COL domain
