Chemical Evolution in Hierarchical Clustering Scenarios [PDF]
We present first results of an implementation of chemical evolution in a cosmological hydrodynamical code, focusing the analysis on the effects of cooling baryons according to their metallicity. We found that simulations with primordial cooling can underestimate the star formation rate from z < 3 and by up to ≈ 20%.

Unintegrated gluon distributions for forward jets at LHC [PDF]
We test several BFKL-like evolution equations for unintegrated gluon distributions against forward-central dijet production at LHC. Our study is based on fitting the evolution scenarios to the LHC data using the high energy factorization approach.

Algols as Limits on Binary Evolution Scenarios [PDF]
AbstractEvolutionary scenarios must account for Algol binaries surviving their first phase of mass transfer. The outcome of this phase is dependent upon the rapidity of the initial mass transfer, which can be estimated by calculating the radial reponse of potential progenitors to mass loss.

Majority of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) implementations in autonomous systems use a fixed/user-prescribed network topology, leading to sub-optimal performance and low portability.

Dark matter casts light on the early Universe
We show how knowledge of the cold dark matter (CDM) density can be used, in conjunction with measurements of the parameters of a scenario for beyond the Standard Model (BSM) physics, to provide information about the evolution of the Universe before Big ...

Cavity evolution in relativistic self-gravitating fluids
We consider the evolution of cavities within spherically symmetric relativistic fluids, under the assumption that proper radial distance between neighboring fluid elements remains constant during their evolution (purely areal evolution condition).

Rotational inhomogeneities from pre-big bang? [PDF]
The evolution of the rotational inhomogeneities is investigated in the specific framework of four-dimensional pre-big bang models. While minimal (dilaton-driven) scenarios do not lead to rotational fluctuations, in the case of non-minimal (string-driven)

New scenario of plasma evolution in IC 443 [PDF]
AbstractMost young and middle-aged supernova remnants (SNRs) exhibit an ionizing plasma (IP), an ionizing process following a shock-heated SNR gas. On the other hand, significant fractions of SNRs exhibit a recombining plasma (RP). The origin and the mechanisms of the RP, however, are not yet well understood. This paper proposes a new model that the RP

ABSTRACT Background Chronic kidney disease is a growing public health problem worldwide, and the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is steadily increasing. Türkiye has experienced a similar rise in both the incidence and prevalence of renal replacement therapy over the past decades; however, national‐level projections of future ...
