Vertical dynamic patterns of Vibrio spp. in the northwestern Pacific Ocean
In marine ecosystems, Vibrio species are as they facilitate nutrient cycling and impact the condition of marine life. To understand their ecological dynamics and how they adapt to various environmental situations, this study examined the vertical ...

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Depth shapes microbiome assembly and network stability in the Mariana Trench
The Mariana Trench, a stable marine ecosystem minimally impacted by human activities, has the greatest vertical depth in the ocean. Depth gradients profoundly influence the physical, chemical, and biotic conditions in the deep oceans.

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Regulation of DMSP organosulfur cycling in ubiquitous Roseobacter marine bacteria
Dimethylsulfoniopropionate (DMSP) catabolism by marine Roseobacters is important for global biogeochemical cycling and the climate. Many Roseobacters contain competing DMSP demethylation and cleavage pathways, but only cleavage produces the climate ...

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Semantic Embedding of Petri Nets into Event-B
We present an embedding of Petri nets into B abstract systems. The embedding is achieved by translating both the static structure (modelling aspect) and the evolution semantics of Petri nets.
