Evolutionary games

Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, 1985
This paper deals with a mathematical game. As the name implies, the game concept is formulated with biological evolution in mind. An evolutionary game differs from the usual game concepts in that the players cannot choose their strategies. Rather, the strategies used by the players are handed down from generation to generation.

Cheating in evolutionary games

Journal of Theoretical Biology, 1978
The analysis of models of evolutionary games requires explicit consideration of both evolutionary game rules and mutants which infinitesimally break these rules. For example, the Scotch Auction is an evolutionary game which lacks both a rule-obeying evolutionarily stable strategy and an asymptotically stable polymorphism of rule-obeying strategies ...

Modern life is getting more complicated and people rely more on the intelligence embedded in their electronic gadgets. It is expected these gadgets will take larger roles in making, at least some simple, decisions instead of us. It is not difficult to see how many gadgets will be needed in an Internet of Things environment, or smart home settings, or ...
