We synthesized GPS telemetry, genetic, and pathogen data to evaluate metapopulation processes in a reintroduced Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep (Ovis canadensis canadensis) population in Dinosaur National Monument. We estimated subpopulation‐specific abundances and found 4 small subpopulations with high genetic diversity, partial connectivity, and ...

Wood‐Derived Sphere‐Like Biochar Granules as an Electrode Platform for Future Bed Electrodes
Wood‐derived, sphere‐like granular biochar (GB) modified with NiMo is introduced as a potential cathode platform for the hydrogen evolution reaction at neutral pH for use in CO2‐reducing bioelectrochemical systems. They exhibit remarkably higher electrocatalytic activity, making wood‐derived sphere‐like GB a promising stackable cathode material for ...

Temperature governs ion transport and charge transfer kinetics in zinc‐based batteries. We compare 6M KOH (potassium hydroxide) and 2M ZnSO4 (zinc sulfate) electrolytes across 0°C to 40°C, finding analogous temperature dependencies in diffusion rates, overpotentials, plating morphology, and Coulombic efficiency.

Assessment of the hormonal and antioxidant status of the sheep of different age groups
The purpose of the research was to study some indicators of antioxidant and hormonal status in the body of ewes and young sheep of the Romanov breed, as well as to identify correlations between the studied indicators.

Abstract The recovery of large carnivores in Europe raises issues related to sharing landscape with humans. Beyond technical solutions, it is widely recognized that social factors also contribute to shaping coexistence. In this context, scholars increasingly stress the need to adopt place‐based approaches by analysing how humans and wildlife interact ...

In utero ventriculosubgaleal shunt placement in a fetal lamb model: Phase 1 technical insights
Abstract Background Progressive ventriculomegaly and the resulting irreversible brain damage may be mitigated through timely diversion prenatal intervention. While ventriculosubgaleal shunt (VSGS) is commonly performed postnatally in premature infants, in utero placement is unexplored.

This study establishes reference intervals for Schirmer tear test (STT) and intraocular pressure (IOP) in healthy Hamdani crossbred sheep. STT values were lower and IOP values higher than previously reported, highlighting the importance of breed‐specific reference ranges in clinical ophthalmic evaluation.
