ABSTRACT Oceanic islands are global hotspots of avian biodiversity and endemism. Their isolation and distinct environmental conditions have uniquely shaped the evolutionary trajectories of island birds, while, in turn, land bird communities have become critical providers of ecological functions to island ecosystems.

Holey‐structured, edge‐carboxylated graphene with a controlled specific surface area was synthesized using an environmentally friendly, CO2‐activated, KOH‐free ball‐milling process. ABSTRACT Graphene, notable for its high specific surface area, is ideal for catalyst support but faces challenges under harsh thermal catalytic conditions.

Ru Nanoparticle Supported by Mesoporous SiOx and Pillared Montmorillonite: Suppressing Catalyst Inhibition in Carbon Dioxide Hydrogenation

Ru nanoparticles confined within mesoporous SiOx‐pillared montmorillonite exhibit exceptional performance for CO2 methanation. The catalyst maintains a high reaction rate even at elevated CO2 conversion while preserving high Ru mass–specific activity, overcoming typical inhibition by H2O and CO observed in conventional supported Ru catalysts.
