The Immune Microenvironment: New Therapeutic Implications in Organ Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review summarizes recent advances in understanding the immune microenvironment's role in fibrosis, focusing on phenotypic/functional alterations of immune cells and their dynamic interactions with other cellular constituents within tissues. The authors further explore therapeutic opportunities and challenges in targeting immune microenvironment ...

Simulating pseudotruss excavating part of excavators

open access: yesVestnik MGSU, 2019
Introduction. Single-dipper hydraulic excavators are becoming widely used multifunctional machines. Upgrading the machine as a whole and its assemblies is an actual problem to be solved with the aim of reducing material consumption and increasing stability and throughput.

UTX Responds to Nanotopography to Suppress Macrophage Inflammatory Response by Remodeling H3K27me3 Modification

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Compared with those on the pTi surface, macrophages on the TNTs surface present reduced myosin II contractility, which facilitates the nuclear translocation of the UTX. This reduction decreases the enrichment of the repressive H3K27me3 histone modification at the Abca1 gene locus, which promotes the transcription and protein expression of ABCA1 ...

Effect of consolidation on the behaviour of excavations in fine-grained soils [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This study deals with the detrimental effects of consolidation on the behaviour of excavations carried out in fine-grained soils. With the aim of reproducing the main aspects of the mechanical behaviour of medium-soft clays, an advanced constitutive ...

Tumor Small Extracellular Vesicle‐Transmitted LncRNA CATED Promotes Platinum‐Resistance in High‐Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Overcoming platinum resistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) is critical for improving outcomes. This study identifies lncRNA CATED, elevated in platinum‐resistant small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) and tumors, which drives cisplatin resistance by enhancing DHX36 SUMOylation, boosting RAP1A translation, and activating MAPK signaling ...

Wide Linearity Range and Rapid‐Response Tactile Sensor Inspired by Parallel Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by parallel structures, a composite tactile sensor design is proposed using parallel elastomer integration, developing two novel sensors. This strategy optimizes the force‐electric response and viscoelastic hysteresis of the conductive composite, achieving a balanced enhancement of linear sensing range and fast response.

Small Molecule‐Induced Alterations of Protein Polyubiquitination Revealed by Mass‐Spectrometric Ubiquitome Analysis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
To monitor small molecule‐induced changes in protein polyubiquitination in an unbiased manner, we employ enrichment through tandem ubiquitin binding entities coupled to LC‐MS/MS analysis (TUBE‐MS). By applying the workflow to PROTAC, p97‐ and deubiquitinase‐inhibitor treatment of cells, we demonstrate its broad applicability and reveal the induction of
