Thermal‐Driven Diode Polarity Switching From Competing Helical Superconducting States in WTe2/α‐Fe2O3 Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A Nb‐proximitized Josephson junction based on a WTe2/α‐Fe2O3 heterostructure exhibits a robust superconducting diode effect with programmable polarity. The diode direction can be trained by magnetic fields and switched by temperature cycling, revealing tunable finite‐momentum pairing states and competing superconducting states in symmetry‐broken ...

Measuring the Hall Effect in Hysteretic Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The authors highlight common pitfalls in measuring the Hall effect: in hysteretic magnets, improper data processing can create signals that look exotic but are not real. This Perspective explains the origin of these artifacts and presents practical measurement strategies that help researchers identify reliable Hall responses in complex magnetic ...

A Geometrically Transient Platform for Bioelectronic Implants

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Minimally invasive bioelectronic implants often compromise performance for smaller sizes. To resolve this optimization dilemma, a wireless bioelectronic implant with a transient geometry is introduced (MiFi). The origami‐inspired device miniaturizes up to sixfold for syringe insertion and autonomously unfolds post‐implantation.

Real Exchange Rate Misalignment and Trade Flows in Nigeria (1960-2013)

open access: yesThe International Journal of Banking and Finance, 2016
The paper examined the effects of real exchange rate misalignment on trade flows in Nigeria between the year 1960 and 2013. Trade flows were divided into export flow, import and trade balance. The paper employed the behavioural equilibrium exchange rate (

Decomposition of the Sources of Real Exchange Rate Misalignment in Egypt: Evidence from the ARDL Model

open access: yesOrganizations and Markets in Emerging Economies, 2021
This paper examines the behavior of the real exchange rate in Egypt over the period 1965–2018 by attempting to pursue three interrelated purposes. The first is to investigate the extent of deviations between the actual exchange rate and its equilibrium ...

Meniscus‐Guided Interfacial Ring‐by‐Ring Assembly for In Situ Fabrication of Tubular Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A tubular hydrogel fabrication method leveraging the meniscus effect at the oil‐water interface is presented. UV irradiation across the concave surface of the photocurable hydrogel precursor induces the formation of ring‐like hydrogel structures. Sequential ring‐by‐ring assembly within microchannels enables the construction of arteriole‐scale hydrogel ...

The choice of an exchange rate regime: Outcomes and constraints [PDF]

open access: yesEkonomski Anali, 2006
An inappropriate exchange rate policy is likely to undermine overall efforts to transform the economy. Namely, it is now well accepted either at the theoretical or policy level that situations of real exchange rate misalignment could be translated into ...

Real Exchange Rate Misalignments in Tanzania

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Business and Management Research, 2022
The study uses a real exchange rate equilibrium (REER) technique to examine real exchange rate misalignments in Tanzania, through the cointegration technique. The empirical findings reveal that the real exchange rate misalignment has decreased significantly over recent years, and the real effective exchange rate has been evolving close to the long-term

A Wireless, Passive Multimodal Wearable Sensor With Decoupled Sensing Capabilities

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A wireless passive multimodal electronic skin is presented for the simultaneous perception of pressure, humidity, and odor through a frequency‐divided LC resonator array. The decoupled sensing architecture suppresses cross‐interference and enables independent signal readout under superimposed stimuli while maintaining high stability.

Measuring exchange rate misalignment in Turkey [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Economics, 2004
We propose a new methodology to measure exchange rate misalignment for Turkey, which has already undergone a severe economic crisis. We estimate the real exchange rate within a time varying parameter model, where a return-to-normality assumption about the parameters are assumed.
