Targeting SHMT2‐mediated membrane phospholipid remodeling for enhanced anti‐GCSCs treatment

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, Volume 3, Issue 3, May 2025.
Depletion of serine via serine hydroxymethyltransferase‐2 (SHMT2) knockdown in gastric cancer (GC) disrupted the maintenance of gastric cancer stem cell stemness by inducing membrane phospholipid remodeling and aberrant CD44 shedding within membrane lipid rafts. The synthesized HA‐Exo‐si SHMT2 demonstrated enhanced therapeutic efficacy and safety in GC.

Efficacy and Safety of Combined Platelet‐Rich Plasma With Fractional Laser for Adult Patients With Vitiligo: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 24, Issue 5, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Objective Platelet‐rich plasma (PRP) is a novel treatment option for vitiligo. It has been reported to be effective in combination with other methods, such as fractional laser. However, there is no consensus on the specific combined use of PRP with fractional laser.

Severe Corneal Morphological Alterations after Excimer Laser Surface Ablation for a High Astigmatism

open access: yesCase Reports in Ophthalmology, 2021
We report long-term alterations of anterior corneal stroma after excimer laser surface ablation for a high astigmatism. The patient claimed progressive visual loss in his right eye (RE) during the last 3 years after bilateral laser-assisted subepithelial

Off‐Label Use of Topical Ruxolitinib in Dermatology: A Systematic Literature Review and Current Perspectives

open access: yesExperimental Dermatology, Volume 34, Issue 4, April 2025.
ABSTRACT JAK inhibitors are used to treat various inflammatory skin diseases. However, systemic formulations are associated with an increased risk of major adverse events. Ruxolitinib 1.5% cream is a selective topical JAK1 and JAK2 inhibitor, which has recently been approved by EMA and MHRA for treating non‐segmental vitiligo, while being FDA‐approved ...
