Nucleon excitations

open access: yesChinese Physics C, 2010
The mass pattern of nucleon and $ $ resonances is compared with predictions based on quark models, the Skyrme model, AdS/QCD, and the conjecture of chiral symmetry restoration.

Intravitreal GD2‐Specific Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Therapy for Refractory Retinoblastoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Effective treatments for advanced, treatment‐resistant retinoblastoma (RB) remain limited. GD2‐specific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells show potent antitumor activity with minimal toxicity but have not previously been evaluated in RB.

Experimental Research on Grape Cluster Vibration Signals during Transportation and Placing for Harvest and Post-Harvest Handling

open access: yesAgriculture, 2021
Berry dropping or shattering is an important factor during the harvest and post-harvest handling of fresh eating grapes until they reach the supermarkets.

Outcomes of Live Virus Vaccination in Patients With Vascular Anomalies Being Treated With Sirolimus

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Live vaccination in patients with vascular anomalies (VA) receiving sirolimus remains controversial due to immunosuppressive effects and theoretical risks. Procedure This single‐center retrospective study included patients with VA less than 4 years old at the start of sirolimus therapy who were incompletely vaccinated.

Exciting hard spheres [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2008
We investigate the collision cascade that is generated by a single moving incident particle on a static hard-sphere gas. We argue that the number of moving particles at time t grows as t^{xi} and the number collisions up to time t grows as t^{eta}, with xi=2d/(d+2) and eta=2(d+1)/(d+2) and d the spatial dimension.

Pulmonary Dysfunction Is Associated With Sleep Study Abnormalities in Children With Sickle Cell Disease: A Multicenter Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pulmonary dysfunction and sleep abnormalities are common in children with sickle cell disease (SCD) and are associated with worse clinical outcomes. Whether spirometry abnormalities are associated with polysomnography (PSG) findings remains unclear.

Study of Electron Impact Excitation of Na-like Kr Ion for Impurity Seeding Experiment in Large Helical Device

open access: yesAtoms, 2023
In this work, a krypton gas impurity seeding experiment was conducted in a Large Helical Device. Emission lines from the Na-like Kr ion in the extreme ultraviolet wavelength region, such as 22.00 nm, 17.89 nm, 16.51 nm, 15.99 nm, and 14.08 nm, respective

Excitation Energy as a Basic Variable to Control Nuclear Disassembly [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Thermodynamical features of Xe system is investigated as functions of temperature and freeze-out density in the frame of lattice gas model. The calculation shows different temperature dependence of physical observables at different freeze-out density. In

Excitable Behaviors

open access: yes, 2018
This chapter revisits the concept of excitability, a basic system property of neurons. The focus is on excitable systems regarded as behaviors rather than dynamical systems. By this we mean open systems modulated by specific interconnection properties rather than closed systems classified by their parameter ranges.

Pulsed Interleaved Excitation [PDF]

open access: yesBiophysical Journal, 2005
In this article, we demonstrate the new method of pulsed interleaved excitation (PIE), which can be used to extend the capabilities of multiple-color fluorescence imaging, fluorescence cross-correlation spectroscopy (FCCS), and single-pair fluorescence resonance energy transfer (spFRET) measurements.
