Efficiency of Laser Excitation of PO Photofragments of Organophosphates

Atmospheric and Oceanic Optics, 2022
Results of calculation of the absorption spectrum of phosphorus oxide (PO) corresponding to the A2Σ+ (v′ = 0) − X 2Π (v′′ = 0) transition are presented. The calculation is performed taking into account the perturbation of the v′ = 0 level of the A2Σ+ state by the v′ = 4 level of the b4Σ− state.

How to Utilize Excited Plasmon Energy Efficiently

ACS Nano, 2021
Plasmonic nanoparticles can concentrate electromagnetic fields at the nanoscale and function as a powerful intermediary to enhance light-matter interactions. They have been widely employed for solar energy harvesting, photocatalysis, medicine, sensing, imaging, spectroscopy, optics, and optoelectronics.

Efficient multiphoton excitation of multiply excited states

Journal of the Optical Society of America B, 1987
It is shown that if an atomic excitation involves the absorption of more than one photon above the ionization limit, then the total population transfer depends not only on the two-photon generalized excitation cross section but also on the one-photon loss cross section.

Measurement of Extraction Efficiency and Excitation Efficiency of Lasers

Journal of Modern Optics, 1988
Abstract A new method permits the determination of diffraction losses, scattering losses and small-signal gain from the time delay between starting the pumping and onset of laser oscillation. Combined with a measurement of output power, this method provides extraction efficiency and excitation efficiency, and this detailed knowledge of all parameters ...

Excitation efficiency of fluxgate sensors

Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 2006
Among ferromagnetic sensors, fluxgates are the most resistant to field shocks. In order to achieve low perming, the peak amplitude of the fluxgate excitation current must be high. The fluxgate excitation efficiency (Ip-p/Irms) can be increased by judicious tuning.

Efficient Macromodel for Interconnects Excited by Incident Fields

2006 Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2006
The analysis of interconnects in the presence of incident electromagnetic fields is an important part of the design process. Such an analysis is, however, very cpu expensive due to the large size of interconnect networks. Krylov based reduction methods were proposed in order to address the complexity of such simulations, however, they result in ...

Efficiency of surface wave excitation

IRE International Convention Record, 2005
The excitation efficiency of surface waves is the ratio between the power in an open-waveguide mode and the total power available at the feed. It should be maximized if the open waveguide is used as a transmission line; and it should be a predictable quantity if the guide is used as an antenna whose pattern is to be modified in some specified manner by
