EEG correlates of exercise dependency

International Journal of Psychophysiology, 1996
Jacobs' (1986) proposition that dependency is the result of two sets of predisposing factors (one of which is either an excessively depressed or excited resting physiological state) was examined in relation to exercise dependency by investigating EEG characteristics of subjects committed to fitness regimes.

Psychobiological Mechanisms of Exercise Dependence

Food-dependent exercise-induced anaphylaxis

Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, 1982
This article describes four cases of exercise-induced anaphylaxis occurring only in temporal relationship to the ingestion of food. Dependence and Physical Exercise: Spanish Validation of the Exercise Dependence Scale-Revised (EDS-R)

The Spanish journal of psychology, 2011
The purpose of this study was to validate the Spanish version of the Exercise Dependence Scale-Revised (EDS-R). To achieve this goal, a sample of 531 sport center users was used and the psychometric properties of the EDS-R were examined through different analyses. The results supported both the first-order seven-factor model and the higher-order model (

Scores on Exercise Dependence among Dancers

Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1993

Celery-dependent exercise-induced anaphylaxis

The Journal of Emergency Medicine, 1986
Food-dependent exercise-induced anaphylaxis, first reported in 1983, is a subtype of exercise-induced anaphylaxis. A case of celery-dependent exercise-induced anaphylaxis is reported. The presentation and management of these and other exercise-related physical allergies, including classic and variant cholinergic urticaria, is reviewed.
