HGKT: Introducing Hierarchical Exercise Graph for Knowledge Tracing [PDF]
Knowledge tracing (KT) which aims at predicting learner's knowledge mastery plays an important role in the computer-aided educational system. In recent years, many deep learning models have been applied to tackle the KT task, which have shown promising results. However, limitations still exist.

The Saccharomyces cerevisiae amino acid transporter Lyp1 has a broad substrate spectrum
In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Yeast Amino acid Transporter family members mediate the import of amino acids, ranging from substrate specialists to generalists. Here, we show that the specialist transporter, Lyp1, has a broader substrate spectrum than previously described, with affinity constants spanning from micromolar to millimolar.

Social context prevents heat hormetic effects against mutagens during fish development
This study shows that sublethal heat stress protects fish embryos against ultraviolet radiation, a concept known as ‘hormesis’. However, chemical stress transmission between fish embryos negates this protective effect. By providing evidence for the mechanistic molecular basis of heat stress hormesis and interindividual stress communication, this study ...

The Concept of Cyber Defence Exercises (CDX): Planning, Execution, Evaluation [PDF]
This paper discusses the concept of cyber defence exercises -CDX- that are very important tool when it comes to enhancing the safety awareness of cyberspace, testing an organization's ability to put up resistance and respond to different cyber events to establish the secure environment, gathering empirical data related to security, and looking at the ...

Urine is a rich source of biomarkers for cancer detection. Tumor‐derived material is released into the bloodstream and transported to the urine. Urine can easily be collected from individuals, allowing non‐invasive cancer detection. This review discusses the rationale behind urine‐based cancer detection and its potential for cancer diagnostics ...

Physiological Control of Human Heart Rate and Oxygen Consumption during Rhythmic Exercises [PDF]
Physical exercise has significant benefits for humans in improving the health and quality of their lives, by improving the functional performance of their cardiovascular and respiratory systems. However, it is very important to control the workload, e.g. the frequency of body movements, within the capability of the individual to maximise the efficiency
