Exergetic Life Cycle Analysis of Components in a System
1999Exergy analysis and life cycle analysis have been developed separately. Exergy analysis has been described extensively in the books of Kotas [1] and Szargut [2]. Life cycle analysis (LCA) has been described by Consoli et al. [3] and Heijungs et al. [4]. The latter one gives a detailed methodology to use in a LCA. The methodology in the LCA includes the

Exergetic analysis of compressed air for vehicular propulsion
SAE Technical Paper Series, 2008<div class="htmlview paragraph">Exergy analysis is a valuable tool for new combustion engine technologies evaluation. By combining both first and second laws of thermodynamics, the availability content of a control system can be precisely calculated, and maximum available work can be determined.

Exergetic Cost Analysis of a Mechanical Exergy Recycle
1993A mechanical plant that involves an exergy recycle is presented for analysis. It consists of gearboxes and a fluid coupling. There is one input of shaft power to the plant and there are three separate outputs of shaft power. An exergetic cost analysis approach is outlined and applied to the plant.
