Exergetic analysis of an aircraft turbofan engine
The main objective of the present study is to perform an exergy analysis of a turbofan kerosene-fired engine with afterburner (AB) at sea level and an altitude of 11 000 m. The main components of this engine include a fan, a compressor, a combustion chamber, a turbine, an AB and an exhaust.

A 4E comparison of PEMFC‐ORC and DMFC‐ORC systems shows that PEMFC‐ORC achieves 21% higher energy efficiency, while DMFC‐ORC obtains 31% higher exergy efficiency and 57% lower levelized cost of electricity. However, DMFC‐ORC emits nearly twice the annual carbon dioxide equivalent of PEMFC‐ORC.

Thermal and Exergetic Analysis of a Solar Still
In this work an energy and exergy analysis of solar distillation process is presented. The analysis is based on the experimental observation of the simple basin type solar stills for 4 different initial volumes (5.5, 6.5, 7.5 and 8.5 L). Energy and exergy balance equations have been written for all components of the solar still including glass cover ...

Heat‐pump charging of Carnot batteries with zeotropic large temperature glide CO2–alkane mixtures enables charging from ambient to ≈398.15 K with improved heat‐exchanger temperature matching at moderate pressure ratios. The highest COP occurs near xCO2 ≈ 0.15, whereas cost and throttling losses rise monotonically with CO2 content; butane isomers ...
