ABSTRACT In this study, three waste‐to‐energy (WTE) operational scenarios, that is, electricity‐only production, fresh water‐only production, and combined electricity and fresh water generation, were evaluated using Thermoflow software. The assessment was conducted based on the thermodynamic, economic, and environmental performance of a municipal solid

Comparing exergy and heat pump work in distillation systems
Abstract This study compares the exergy supplied to a distillation column with the actual energy consumption of a heat pump‐assisted distillation (HPAD) system. It evaluates the reliability of exergy as a proxy for heat pump work demand in such systems.

The thermal performance of flat plate collectors (FPCs) was enhanced using nanofluids. A hybrid MWCNT/Fe3O4/water nanofluid achieved 71.9% thermal efficiency, outperforming conventional fluids. Improved Nusselt number, friction factor, and convective heat transfer highlight its effectiveness in optimizing FPC systems. ABSTRACT The flat plate collector (
