Exergy Costing in Exergoeconomics

Journal of Energy Resources Technology, 1993
Existing methods of exergoeconomic analysis and optimization of energy systems operate with single average or marginal cost values per exergy unit for each material stream in the system being considered. These costs do not contain detailed information on (a) how much exergy, and (b) at what cost each exergy unit was supplied to the stream in the ...

Exergoeconomic analysis of thermal systems

Energy, 1998
A combination of exergetic and economic analysis for complex energy systems is proposed. We derive a general cost-balance equation which can be applied to any component of a thermal system. In this study, the exergy of a material stream is decomposed into thermal, mechanical and chemical exergy flows and an entropy-production flow.

EXERGOECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF A DIESEL ENGINE

17th Brazilian Congress of Thermal Sciences and Engineering, 2018
The method of producing power from diesel engines despite being created a long time is still quite used these days, and pollutants formation including their emission are considered one of the major sources of air pollution. This study reports the effects of the engine load on the specific cost per exergy unit of electricity.
