Canadian Journal of Statistics, 1974AbstractQuintic designs, a class of PBIB designs having five associate classes, are defined. Properties of NN', where N is the incidence matrix, are examined to present necessary conditions for the existence of quintic designs. The variances of elementary treatment comparisons are found.
