Overdamped dynamics of a falling inextensible network: Existence of solutions
We study the equations of overdamped motion of an inextensible triod with three fixed ends and a free junction under the action of gravity. The problem can be expressed as a system of PDEs that involves unknown Lagrange multipliers and non-standard boundary conditions related to the freely moving junction.

Ground state solution of a noncooperative elliptic system
In this paper, we study the existence of a ground state solution, that is, a non trivial solution with least energy, of a noncooperative semilinear elliptic system on a bounded domain.

Two-dimensional incompressible ideal flows in a noncylindrical material domain [PDF]
The purpose of this work is to prove existence of a weak solution of the two dimensional incompressible Euler equations on a noncylindrical domain consisting of a smooth, bounded, connected and simply connected domain undergoing a prescribed motion.

Existence of a solution for a class of nonlinear parabolic systems
An existence result of a solution for a class of nonlinear parabolic systems is established. The data belong to $L^1$ and no growth assumption is made on the nonlinearities.

Global existence versus blow-up results for a fourth order parabolic PDE involving the Hessian [PDF]
We consider a partial differential equation that arises in the coarse-grained description of epitaxial growth processes. This is a parabolic equation whose evolution is governed by the competition between the determinant of the Hessian matrix of the ...

Existence of solution for a class of fractional Hamiltonian systems [PDF]
In this work we want to prove the existence of solution for a class of fractional Hamiltonian systems given by {eqnarray*}_{t}D_{\infty}^{\alpha}(_{-\infty}D_{t}^{\alpha}u(t)) + L(t)u(t) = & \nabla W(t,u(t)) u\in H^{\alpha}(\mathbb{R}, \mathbb{R}^{N ...

Existence, uniqueness, and stability of periodic solutions of an equation of Duffing type
We consider a second-order equation of Duffing type. Bounds for the derivative of the restoring force are given which ensure the existence and uniqueness of a periodic solution.

ABSTRACT Background Oral mucositis is a common and debilitating side effect of childhood cancer and stem cell transplant treatments. It affects the quality of life of children and young people (CYP) and places a strain on services. Photobiomodulation is recommended for oral mucositis prevention in international guidance but is poorly implemented in UK ...

A Technique for Proving Existence of Solutions
Problems of the form \[ x'(t)= f(t,x(t)),\qquad t\in[0,T], \quad x(0)\neq x_0,\tag{IVP} \] where \(T\in \mathbb{R}^+\), \(x_0\in \mathbb{R}^N\), and \(f:\mathbb{R}\times \mathbb{R}^N\to \mathbb{R}^N\) are considered and the existence of Carathéodory solutions of (IVP) is studied.
