The Americanization of Nigerian English spelling and punctuation

open access: yesWorld Englishes, Volume 45, Issue 1, Page 76-95, March 2026.
Abstract Spelling is the most standardized level of language, and prescriptive spelling norms in former British colonies often advocate adherence to British spelling norms which differs from the local linguistic reality. Hence, recent research on the evolution of postcolonial Englishes and the Americanization of Englishes worldwide has questioned the ...

WDVV‐based recursion for open Gromov–Witten invariants

open access: yesJournal of Topology, Volume 19, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract We give a computability result for open Gromov–Witten invariants based on open Witten–Dijkgraaf–Verlinde–Verlinde (WDVV) equations. This is analogous to the result of Kontsevich–Manin for closed Gromov–Witten invariants. For greater generality, we base the argument on a formal object, the Frobenius superpotential, that generalizes several ...

Sharp commutator estimates of all order for Coulomb and Riesz modulated energies

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 2, Page 207-292, February 2026.
Abstract We prove functional inequalities in any dimension controlling the iterated derivatives along a transport of the Coulomb or super‐Coulomb Riesz modulated energy in terms of the modulated energy itself. This modulated energy was introduced by the second author and collaborators in the study of mean‐field limits and statistical mechanics of ...

Dimer models and conformal structures

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, Volume 79, Issue 2, Page 340-446, February 2026.
Abstract Dimer models have been the focus of intense research efforts over the last years. Our paper grew out of an effort to develop new methods to study minimizers or the asymptotic height functions of general dimer models and the geometry of their frozen boundaries.

Fractional Novel Analytical Method (FNAM): An Improved Innovative Numerical Scheme to Solve Fractional Differential‐Difference Equations

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 2, February 2026.
This paper introduces the Fractional Novel Analytical Method (FNAM), a Taylor‐series‐based technique for approximating nonlinear fractional differential‐difference equations. Built on the Caputo derivative, FNAM achieves rapid convergence without relying on Adomian polynomials, perturbation schemes, or transform methods.

Tutorial on Causal Mediation Analysis for Pharmacometricians

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 15, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Mediation analyses can support biomarker development by quantifying the part of the total treatment effect on clinical outcome that is mediated by the biomarker. Given that pharmacometricians are often involved in the analysis of biomarker data with pharmacokinetic–pharmacodynamic (PK–PD) models, mediation analysis can be a valuable addition ...

Duo‐AttnOPNets: Advancing Global Operational Forecasting for Atmospheric Carbon Monoxide With AI‐Empowered 4D‐Var

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, Volume 18, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract The accuracy of global forecasting of atmospheric composition is essential for protecting public health and advancing climate research. Carbon monoxide (CO), a key pollutant with indirect greenhouse effects, requires timely and accurate prediction.

Descriptive Analysis of Periodontitis Case Detection and Selected Comorbidities in Danish Private Dental Practices

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Periodontology, Volume 53, Issue 2, Page 214-221, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim To determine (i) the parameters used by dental professionals to evaluate patients with periodontitis, (ii) the prevalence of periodontitis using different case definitions and (iii) associations between periodontitis and diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease and rheumatoid arthritis among adult patients in private practices in Denmark.

Active Sampling of Interpolation Points to Identify Dominant Subspaces for Model Reduction

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, Volume 127, Issue 1, 15 January 2026.
ABSTRACT Model reduction is an active research field to construct low‐dimensional surrogate models of high fidelity to accelerate engineering design cycles. In this work, we investigate model reduction for linear structured systems using dominant reachable and observable subspaces.
