Sharp conditions for the existence of infinitely many positive solutions to $ q $-$ k $-Hessian equation and systems

open access: yesElectronic Research Archive
In this paper, only under the $ q $-$ k $-Keller–Osserman conditions, we consider the existence and global estimates of innumerable radial $ q $-$ k $-convex positive solutions to the $ q $-$ k $-Hessian equation and systems.

The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

Substrate specificity of Burkholderia pseudomallei multidrug transporters is influenced by the hydrophilic patch in the substrate‐binding pocket

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Multidrug transporters BpeB and BpeF from the Gram‐negative pathogen Burkholderia pseudomallei have a hydrophilic patch in their substrate‐binding pocket. Drug susceptibility tests and growth curve analyses using an Escherichia coli recombinant expression system revealed that the hydrophilic patches of BpeB and BpeF are involved in the substrate ...

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

Existence theory for nonlinear volterra integral and differential equations

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2001
In this paper we prove the existence theorems for the integrodifferential equation where in first part are functions with values in a Banach space and the integral is taken in the sense of Bochner. In second part are weakly–weakly sequentially

Existence of Solutions for Linear Moment Problems [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics, 2007
The Cimmino algorithm is an iterative projection method for finding almost common points of measur- able families of closed convex sets in a Hilbert space.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

EXISTENCE AND UNIQUENESS OF CHAIN LADDER SOLUTIONS

open access: yesASTIN Bulletin, 2015
AbstractThe cross-classified chain ladder has a number of versions, depending on the distribution to which observations are subject. The simplest case is that of Poisson distributed observations, and then maximum likelihood estimates of parameters are explicit.
