The Effect of Propylthiouracil on Exocrine Glands
Endocrinology, 1962This study was designed to compare the effect of hypothyroidism on the submaxillary gland with that on other exocrine glands. Weights and enzymatic activity of submaxillary gland, parotid gland and pancreas were determined at 30, 60 and 90 day intervals in a control group of rats fed ad libitum, an experimental group fed ad libitum and receiving .075 ...

Immunohistochemical localization of lactoferrin in bovine exocrine glands
Tissue and Cell, 1993The localization of lactoferrin (LF) was studied in bovine exocrine glands by the peroxidase-antiperoxidase method. In general, LF immunoreactivity was demonstrated in most of the serous demilunes of the mixed glands and in some but not all acinar cells of the serous glands. LF was not detected in the acinar cells of the mucous glands.

Exocrine gland structure-function relationships
Development, 2022ABSTRACT Fluid secretion by exocrine glandular organs is essential to the survival of mammals. Each glandular unit within the body is uniquely organized to carry out its own specific functions, with failure to establish these specialized structures resulting in impaired organ function.

The opposite of exocrine is not apocrine butendocrine, and the opposite or counterpart of apocrine is ...
