Eosinophils‐Induced Lumican Secretion by Synovial Fibroblasts Alleviates Cartilage Degradation via the TGF‐β Pathway Mediated by Anxa1 Binding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Eosinophils play a crucial role in the progression of temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis (TMJOA). This study demonstrates that eosinophils, induced by OVA/IL‐5, promote Lumican secretion in the synovium, which binds to Annexin A1 in chondrocytes, inhibiting transforming growth factor β2 and Smad2/3 phosphorylation.

Exosomes and their roles in the chemoresistance of pancreatic cancer

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 11, Issue 24, Page 4979-4988, December 2022., 2022
Despite the development of multiple promising chemotherapeutic agents as recommended first‐line treatment for PC, the therapeutic efficacy is largely limited by unwanted drug resistance.Exploring the relation between exosomes and chemoresistance may be conducive to understanding molecular mechanisms and taking effective measures to reduce the ...

Viridicatol from the Deep‐Sea‐Derived Fungus Alleviates Bone Loss by Targeting the Wnt/SHN3 Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Viridicatol (VDC), isolated from the deep‐sea‐derived fungus, enhances osteogenesis in vitro and in vivo by targeting Wnt/SHN3 signaling pathway. It can be delivered via engineered nanovesicles to mitigate bone loss of osteoporosis, fracture repair, and osteogenesis imperfecta.

Simultaneous Reversal of T Lymphocytes and Cancer Cells Metabolism Via a Biomimetic Heavy‐Atom‐Free Photosensitizers‐Based Combination Therapies to Boost Cancer Photoimmunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work develops a cyanine dye named Cy‐BF and encapsulates it with phospholipids and platelet exosome vesicles to create CHL. Characterized by high phototoxicity, low dark toxicity, and enhanced tumor targeting, CHL demonstrates aggregation‐induced broadening of absorption spectra and NIR‐activated photothermal therapy and type I photodynamic ...

The phospholipid flippase ATP8B1 is required for lysosomal fusion in macrophages

open access: yesCell Biochemistry and Function, Volume 40, Issue 8, Page 914-925, December 2022., 2022
Abstract ATP8B1 is a phospholipid flippase and member of the type 4 subfamily of P‐type ATPases (P4‐ATPase) subfamily. P4‐ATPases catalyze the translocation of phospholipids across biological membranes, ensuring proper membrane asymmetry, which is crucial for membrane protein targeting and activity, vesicle biogenesis, and barrier function.

CNPY2 Aggravates Renal Tubular Cell Ferroptosis in Diabetic Nephropathy by Regulating PERK/ATF4/CHAC1 Pathway and MAM Integrity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Canopy FGF signaling regulator 2 (CNPY2) which is contributed to ERS is upregulated in the renal tubules of patients with diabetic nephropathy (DN). Mechanistically, CNPY2 may regulate ferroptosis and MAM integrity in renal tubular epithelial cells through PERK/ATF4/CHAC1 pathway, thereby promoting the progression of DN.
