Origins of Graphite Resistivity: Decoupling Stacking Fault and Rotational Misorientation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Interfacial dislocations critically influence interlayer transport in van der Waals (vdW) materials, yet quantifying their individual contributions remains challenging. We measure graphite's c‐axis resistivity and develop a decoupling strategy, revealing a resistivity ratio of ∼4507:74:1 for rotational misorientations, stacking faults, and AB stacking,

Photonic Time Crystals and Time‐Varying Electromagnetic Metamatter: A New Direction for Ultrafast Tunable Photonic and Microwave Materials and Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Photonic time crystals (PTCs) are systems in which electromagnetic parameters are modulated periodically in time, producing momentum bandgaps via temporal scattering rather than spatial Bragg processes. This review examines the theoretical frameworks, modeling, and computational tools for time‐varying media, and summarizes experimental demonstrations ...

Transmission of Radio‐Frequency Waves and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance in Lanthanum Superhydrides

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
1H NMR and radio‐frequency transmission measurements of lanthanum superhydrides at 165 GPa reveals a transition at 260–280 K by a strong suppression of the signal intensity, significant changes in NMR spectra, including a dramatic decrease of the relaxation rate 1/T1T, and pronounced shielding effect, which may have a superconducting nature.

Spectroscopic Evidence of Edge‐Localized States in an Antiferromagnet Topological Insulator NdBi

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using spin‐polarized scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) in conjunction with quasiparticle interference, we successfully identify distinct signatures of the ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic terminations in NdBi, a rare‐earth monopnictide exhibiting non‐trivial topology and magnetism. We demonstrate that step edges on ferromagnetic surfaces host well‐

Diversity and use of trees and shrubs in smallholder farming systems in the Colombian Andes

open access: yesCaldasia, 2020
This article describes the diversity and use of trees and shrubs in smallholder farming systems in three municipalities of the department of Boyacá in the Colombian Andes, and tests the relations between spe-cies richness, use, and a set of socio ...

Large Room Temperature Anomalous Nernst Effect Coupled with Topological Nernst Effect from Incommensurate Spin Structure in a Kagome Antiferromagnet

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that ErMn₆Sn₆, a kagome antiferromagnet hosting incommensurate spin textures, sustains finite scalar spin chirality that drives topological states. The anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) originates from the strong Berry curvature of Chern‐gapped Dirac fermions, while the topological Nernst effect (TNE) arises from emergent fields ...

Overview of the status/results in the exotics sector

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
Many exotic hadronic states beyond the conventional quark model (called char-moniumlike/bottomoniumlike states or XYZ particles) were found in the B-factories or energy scans of the cross sections of e+e− annhilation into conventional quarkonia and light

Recent Charmonium and Exotics Study at BESIII [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
Recent progress in charmonium and exotic states has been reported in this proceeding. Using the data samples collected by the BESIII experiment, the mass and width of Y states have been extensively studied in hidden and open charm channels. The processes
