Characterization of Expanded Graphite/Flake-Type Graphite Filled Conductive Polymer Composites
Advanced Materials Research, 2008Conductive polymer composites (CPCs) consisting of expanded graphite (EG), flake-type graphite (FG) and thermalsetting resin were fabricated by means of a preform molding technique. Conductive fillers, EG and FG, were mechanically mixed with the phenol resin to provide an electrical property to composites.

Preparation of Expanded Graphite Using Recycling Graphite Rods by Microwave Irradiation
Advanced Materials Research, 2012After washing, milling and calcining, the graphite rods recycled from waste dry batteries were used as raw material to prepare expandable graphite by chemical oxidation (using acetic anhydride as inserting and potassium dichromate as oxidant), the expanded graphite was prepared from the obtained expandable graphite by microwave radiation (MW) at 1000W ...

Sorption Properties of Thermally Expanded Graphite
Chemistry and Technology of Fuels and Oils, 2001The powder was then heat treated at 1150 ‐ 1200 °C by blowing compressed nitrogen through a tubular electric furnace (quartz tube length of 80 cm, diameter of 2 cm) at a rate that ensured residence in the heat-treatment zone for 1.2 ‐ 1.3 sec. Important fluctuations in the temperature in the furnace were prevented by the small amounts of oxidized ...
