Long‐Term Follow Up of Two Patients With Variants in the Cluster 1031‐1159 of TRRAP Gene: Expanding the Phenotype of Developmental Delay With or Without Dysmorphic Facies and Autism

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The transformation/transcription domain‐associated protein (TRRAP) gene encodes a large multidomain protein, a member of the phosphatidylinositol 3‐kinase‐related kinase (PIKK) family. TRRAP is a component of the histone acetyltransferase (HAT) complex, and it plays an important role in gene transcription, DNA repair, and cell‐cycle regulation.

Green Fuel Combustion Synthesis of CeO2 and Ag/CeO2 Nanoparticles for Photocatalytic and Antibacterial Applications

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Silver‐doped cerium oxide nanoparticles (Ag/CeO2 NPs) were synthesized using Ricinus communis seed extract as a bio‐derived fuel in a solution combustion method. The combustion reaction, carried out at 450°C with AgNO3 and (NH4)2[Ce (NO3)6] as metal precursors, produced CeO2 and Ag/CeO2 NPs.

Synergistic Physicochemical Inhibition of Reactive Shale Formations Using Hydrothermally Synthesized Hydroxyapatite Nickel Tungstate Nanocomposites in Water‐Based Drilling Fluids

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Wellbore instability driven by the volumetric expansion of reactive shale formations remains a primary operational challenge in modern drilling engineering, causing severe mechanical failures and substantial economic deficits. The objective of this study is to formulate and evaluate a novel dual‐action chemical additive capable of ...

Feasibility Study of Expanded Clay Aggregate Lightweight Concrete for Nonstructural Applications

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering
In nonstructural infill panels, common materials like expanded polystyrene panels face fire susceptibility, autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) incurs high production costs, and traditional bricks come with a significant carbon footprint and weight.

Thermal conductivities of expanded shale and clay lightweight aggregates

open access: yes, 1987
This report presents the results of a field evaluation of the thermal conductivity of lightweight clay and shale-based aggregates from stockpiles exposed to outdoor climate conditions. The data indicated that conductivities as low as 0.1 W/m.K may be expected for coarse aggregate.

Catalytic Pyrolysis of Waste Polystyrene Over Fe–B Composite Catalyst for Enhanced Liquid Fuel Production

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Healthcare derived polystyrene waste represents a growing and under addressed fraction of plastic waste streams due to contamination risks and limited recyclability. This study aims to investigate the valorization of waste polystyrene foam through catalytic and noncatalytic pyrolysis pathways to evaluate product yield distribution and identify

Synergistic Advanced Oxidation and Physicochemical Treatment Strategies for Antibiotic Removal and Resistance Mitigation in Water

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The presence of antibiotics in water not only causes environmental pollution but also increases the growth of antibiotic‐resistant bacterial genes, which pose serious threats to human beings and other water residents. Large numbers of people are reportedly affected by the resistant bacterial genes, as many broad‐spectrum antibiotics are not ...
