ABSTRACT Amaranthus palmeri is one of the most troublesome invasive agricultural weeds worldwide, exhibiting super invasiveness and high resistance to conventional management strategies. Artificial microRNA‐mediated silencing technology, coupled with a nanoparticle‐mediated delivery system, represents an attractive approach for fertility control in A ...

Early‐season hot drought in Scots pine limits growth and productivity but improves resilience to late‐season drought through reduced water use. Abstract Tree responses to drought are well studied, but the interacting effects of drought timing on growth, water use, and stress legacy are less understood.

Adsorption of cationic polyacrylamide (C-PAM) on expanded perlite
Abstract The adsorption of cationic polyacrylamide (C-PAM) onto expanded perlite (EP) from aqueous solutions was investigated as a function of some parameters such as pH, ionic strength, and temperature. The adsorption of C-PAM was increased with increasing pH and temperature and with decreasing ionic strength.

Extrafloral nectar mediates interactions among plants, ants and herbivores; its contingency on damage amount and within‐plant uniformity is poorly understood. Here, we explore these factors in wild cotton (Gossypium hirsutum). Herbivory amount drove increases in extrafloral nectar induction per nectary, whereas within‐plant variability in damage ...

Semiquantitative Analysis of Phase Evolution and Viscosity in Perlite
XRD spectra of raw perlite powder (particle size <44 µm) with 10 wt.% ZnO added as an internal standard for semiquantitative analysis. ABSTRACT Perlite is a noncrystalline volcanic rock with rhyolitic composition that expands four to 20 times its original volume when heated, forming a porous structure widely used in filtration, catalysis, and ...
