On Expanding Endomorphisms of the Circle
Journal of the London Mathematical Society, 1990A problem posed by M. Shub and D. Sullivan on the classification of real Lebesgue measure-preserving endomorphisms of the circle is investigated. A new Jacobian invariant is introduced and complete measure-theoretic isomorphism invariants are given which are simultaneously measure-theoretic and topological in character.
