Establishment and biological characterization of radioresistant colorectal cancer cell lines
Under ionizing radiation exposure, radiation‐sensitive cancer cells exhibit oxidative stress and DNA damage, while radiation‐resistant cancer cells exhibit strong antioxidant properties and DNA damage repair. Radiotherapy resistance is a major cause of recurrence and metastasis in colorectal cancer (CRC).

Measuring AMP‐activated protein kinase (AMPK) activity in vitro is crucial for testing AMPK activators or inhibitors with therapeutic potential. Here, we report an enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)‐based AMPK activity assay with simple steps and high sensitivity, which offers a simple, robust, and cost‐effective alternative to traditional ...

SLC7A11 frequently migrates faster in SDS‐PAGE. The present study found that the high hydrophobicity of SLC7A11 causes its anomalous migration in SDS‐PAGE with a low concentration of acrylamide gel. Replacing isoleucine with asparagine reduced hydrophobicity and restored its normal migration at 55 kDa, revealing the role of hydrophobicity and gel ...

We generated and characterized clear cell renal cell carcinoma models using the patient‐derived RCC243 cell line—including cell culture, orthotopic, and metastatic tumors—via single‐cell RNA‐sequencing for comparisons between models and patient tumor datasets.

Liver‐specific knockout of N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) methyltransferase METTL3 significantly accelerated hepatic tumor initiation under various oncogenic challenges, contrary to the previously reported oncogenic role of METTL3 in liver cancer cell lines or xenograft models. Mechanistically, METTL3 deficiency reduced m6A deposition on Manf transcripts and

Decisions ranging from those affecting the world to trivial day‐to‐day experiences involve choices among alternative images for the future. Usually images of the future are formed by perceived patterns of past behaviour. In essence, we attempt to perceive patterns in the records of the past, and improvement in these records will improve our view of the

The knowledge of the initial flux in conventional neutrino beams represents the main limitation for a precision (1%) measurement of [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] cross-sections. The ENUBET ERC project is studying a facility based on a narrow-band beam capable of constraining the neutrino fluxes normalization through the monitoring of the

This article describes the process of implementing a museum experience into the course content of a literacy methods course. A museum workshop was designed to help graduate students better understand the concept of literacy as a language-based learning process that builds on and extends each child's understanding of the world.

The problem of scientific ethics or experimental morality creates for the scientific methodologist a profound dilemma. To the extent that he makes his investigations scientific he fails at the essence of morality. Conversely, if he attempts to found himself securely in morality, his efforts to become scientific lead to mere utilitarian “moralizing.” In

The experience and meta-experience of mood.
Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, 1988Mood experience is comprised of at least two elements: the direct experience of the mood and a meta-level of experience that consists of thoughts and feelings about the mood. In Study 1, a two-dimensional structure for the direct experience of mood (Watson & Tellegen, 1985) was tested for its fit to the responses of 1,572 subjects who each completed ...
