Experimental study of βPbF2 thin films
Electrochimica Acta, 1977Abstract The high ionic conduction observed in βPbF 2 single crystals and sintered samples has led us to study thin films of this compound. The films have been obtained using two methods: thermal evaporation in vacuum and cathode sputtering. The electric study of films involves an original method of admittance vs frequency measurement.

This chapter explores the ambivalence of the copy by examining the impact of low-quality, unauthorized digital bootlegs on the domain of experimental film, an area of practice that has historically exhibited a strong investment in medium specificity and the moral rights of the filmmaker. I confront these issues through a case study of Josiah McElheny’s

Experimental Investigation Of Film Detonation
SPIE Proceedings, 1989An oil film detonation experiment was conducted in a rectangular shock tube with a thin layer of n-octanol coated on the bottom wall of the tube as a nonvolatile fuel and with gaseous oxygen in the tube as the oxidizer. The film detonation was initiated by a shock wave generated by the gas phase detonation of a H2 - 02 mixture in the driver chamber ...

Experimental study of hybrid nematic wetting films
Advances in Colloid and Interface Science, 2011Liquid crystal layers, with thickness less than 1 μm, are deposited on isotropic - solid or liquid - substrates and investigated in the bulk nematic range of temperatures. The boundary conditions at interfaces are antagonist ones, therefore the layers are distorted due to nematic elasticity. These films are referred to as "hybrid nematics".

Electrode Film Systems: Experimental Evidences
2013This chapter analyses some experimental examples, demonstrating qualitatively the concept of electrode film system (EFS). The discussion is based on the classification of EFS considered in Chap. 1.

Experimental Pressures and Film Forces in a Squeeze Film Damper
Journal of Tribology, 1993The effect of whirl frequency and lubricant viscosity on the dynamic pressures and force response of an open end and a partially sealed squeeze film dampers (SFD) with a radial clearance of 0.38 mm is determined experimentally. The experiments are carried out in a damper test rig executing circular centered orbits and for whirl frequencies ranging from

_grau – an organic experimental film
Animation, 2007The experimental film _grau(Robert Seidel, 10:01 min, Germany 2004) deals with personal issues on a visually abstracted level. It establishes a system of interwoven complexity born out of memories, scientific visualization and real data to create a modernized version of a tableau vivant, dealing with surreal and abstract images that come alive.

Experimental film, often used interchangeably with the term ‘avant-garde’ film or ‘underground’ film in Japan, has typically been associated with the emergence of radical and creative filmmaking practices in the 1960s. Coinciding with a particular phase of cinematic modernism across the globe, experimental films in Japan tested the political and formal

Experimental Tympanic Membrane Closure With Collagen Film
Archives of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, 1967THE CONVENIENCE of having a packaged, commercially available material suitable for closure of tympanic membrane defects is attractive indeed. Interest in homologous and heterologous tissues for closure of drum perforations is increasing. Such materials can be obtained, sterilized, and stored for future usage, thus lending themselves to the possibility
