Kolmetoistavuotiaiden nuorten käsityksiä luonnontieteellisestä tutkimuksesta
VASI (views about the scientific inquiry) questionnaire was applied to a sample of 149 7th grade students. When assessing each aspect of VASI, pupils' views were categorized into one of four categories: informed, mixed, naive, and unclear.

Implicit Mentalizing in Patients With Schizophrenia: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
IntroductionMentalizing is a key aspect of social cognition. Several researchers assume that mentalization has two systems, an explicit one (conscious, relatively slow, flexible, verbal, inferential) and an implicit one (unconscious, automatic, fast, non-

Predictability Aspects of Global Aqua-planet Simulations with Explicit Convection
High-resolution global simulations over zonally symmetric aqua planets are examined using Fourier analysis in the zonal direction. We highlight the tropics, where the large-scale weather consists of convectively-coupled waves so that explicit convection is an especially topical novelty.Squared differences between pairs of runs grow from initially tiny ...

We build upon recent advances on the distributional aspect of Stein's method to propose a novel and flexible technique for computing Stein operators for random variables that can be written as products of independent random variables.

The Little Word “as.” On Making Contexts and Aspects Explicit [PDF]
The word “as” enables one to make contexts and aspects of things explicit while attributing properties or descriptions to them. For example “John is rational as a mathematician”; “John is irrational as a driver.” This paper examines the idea according to which all propositions containing “as” should be targeted as potential inferences about the subject;

Supersymmetric Calogero-Moser-Sutherland models and Jack superpolynomials
A new generalization of the Jack polynomials that incorporates fermionic variables is presented. These Jack superpolynomials are constructed as those eigenfunctions of the supersymmetric extension of the trigonometric Calogero-Moser-Sutherland (CMS ...

Solvable and/or integrable and/or linearizable N-body problems in ordinary (three-dimensional) space. I [PDF]
Several N-body problems in ordinary (3-dimensional) space are introduced which are characterized by Newtonian equations of motion (``acceleration equal force;'' in most cases, the forces are velocity-dependent) and are amenable to exact treatment ...

As aspect-level sentiment labels are expensive and labor-intensive to acquire, zero-shot aspect-level sentiment classification is proposed to learn classifiers applicable to new domains without using any annotated aspect-level data. In contrast, document-level sentiment data with ratings are more easily accessible.

Semi-Supervised Model for Aspect Sentiment Detection
Advancements in text representation have produced many deep language models (LMs), such as Word2Vec and recurrent-based LMs. However, there are scarce works that focus on detecting implicit sentiments with a small amount of labelled data because there ...
