ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Explicit forms of the trace formula for GL(2)
There has recently been renewed interest in the trace formula–in particular, that of the initial case of GL(2)–due to counting applications in the function field case. For these applications, one needs a very precise form of the trace formula, with all terms computed explicitly.

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Rational Calogero-Moser Model: Explicit Form and r-Matrix of the Second Poisson Structure
We compute the full expression of the second Poisson bracket structure for N=2 and N=3 site rational classical Calogero-Moser model. We propose an r-matrix formulation for N=2.

Thermodynamics of two black holes
We study a system of two charged non-rotating black holes separated by a strut. Using the exact solution of the Einstein-Maxwell equations, which describes this system, we construct a consistent form of the first law of thermodynamics.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Explicit Jordan form for certain block triangular matrices
Let \(J_r\) denote the \(r\times r\) nilpotent Jordan block. Let \(M\) be the block upper triangular matrix \(\begin{pmatrix} A & X\\ 0 & B\end{pmatrix}\) where \(A\) and \(B\) are given square matrices. The ``Carlson problem'' is to find all the possible Jordan forms of the matrix \(M\).
