Dropout: Explicit Forms and Capacity Control
We investigate the capacity control provided by dropout in various machine learning problems. First, we study dropout for matrix completion, where it induces a data-dependent regularizer that, in expectation, equals the weighted trace-norm of the product of the factors.

Correlation of EFL learners’ metalinguistic knowledge and grammatical accuracy
Grammar teaching has been a topic of debate for a considerably long time. Researchers and teachers discussed the benefits and shortcomings of its explicit instruction, which entails students’ awareness of metalanguage.

The explicit form of the switching surface in admissible synthesis problem
In this article we consider the problem related to positional synthesis and controllability function method and more precisely to admissible maximum principle.

Explicit large image theorems for modular forms [PDF]
Let $k$ and $N$ be positive integers with $k\ge2$ even. In this paper we give general explicit upper-bounds in terms of $k$ and $N$ from which all the residual representations $\barρ_{f,λ}$ attached to non-CM newforms of weight $k$ and level $Γ_0(N)$ with $λ$ of residue characteristic greater than these bounds are "as large as possible".

Explicit vocabulary instruction: Effects of vocabulary learning on Form Two ESL learners
Per its English curriculum, vocabulary instruction is only integrated indirectly in the teaching of reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in Malaysian schools. ESL learners then may overlook the variety of meanings that a word and its spelling

Effect of explicit and implicit FFI on EFL learners' implicit and explicit knowledge of simple and difficult morphosyntactic features [PDF]
This study investigated the relative effects of explicit and implicit form-focused instruction (FFI) on the acquisition of four simple and difficult morphosyntactic features as assessed by explicit and implicit outcome measures.

Popov form and the explicit equations of inverse systems; pp. 342–355 [PDF]
The paper addresses the invertibility problem for discrete-time nonlinear control systems, described by the inputâoutput equations. The necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of left and right inverse systems are given.

Explicit boundary form factors: The scaling Lee–Yang model
We provide explicit expressions for boundary form factors in the boundary scaling Lee–Yang model for operators with the mildest ultraviolet behavior for all integrable boundary conditions. The form factors of the boundary stress tensor take a determinant
