The Psychometric Properties of the Grit-O Scale Within the Twente Region in Netherlands: An ICM-CFA vs. ESEM Approach

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2020
The purpose of this study was to examine the psychometric properties (i.e., factorial validity, measurement invariance, and reliability) of the Grit-Original scale (Grit-O) within the Netherlands. The Grit-O scale was subjected to a competing measurement

Re‐investigating the psychometric properties of the Caregiver–Provider Relationship Assessment

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia: Behavior &Socioeconomics of Aging, Volume 2, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION This study examined the psychometrics of the Caregiver–Provider Relationship Assessment (CPRA) by evaluating whether the negatively worded items impact the fit of the proposed measurement model. METHODS A sample of family caregivers to persons with dementia (N = 228) completed online surveys about caregiving experiences that ...

Formation and Characterization of Insoluble Anthocyanins‐λ‐carrageenan Biopolyelectrolyte Complexes: Structural Morphology, Thermal Stability, and Release Dynamics

open access: yesChemFoodChem, Volume 2, Issue 2, June 2026.
Insoluble biopolyelectrolyte complexes formed between blackberry anthocyanins and λ‐carrageenan are investigated. Optimal complexation occurs at low carrageenan ratios and acidic pH, producing porous hydrogel‐like structures with enhanced thermal stability.

Cultural, social, and economic capital constructs in international assessments: an evaluation using exploratory structural equation modeling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The article employs exploratory structural equation modeling (ESEM) to evaluate constructs of economic, cultural, and social capital in international large-scale assessment (LSA) data from the Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS) 2006

Semi‐Automated Platform for Early Prenatal Coelocentesis Testing Using Electrospun Nanofiber Technology

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 6, June 2026.
A semi‐automated approach for early prenatal diagnosis is developed for low‐cellularity samples from coelocentesis by exploiting biotin/streptavidin interaction to functionalize electrospun mats with antibodies. With potential microfluidic integration, the resulting platform enables fetal cell capture, offering a strategy toward improved efficiency and

The Latent Structure of Depression and Anxiety Symptoms: A Bifactor Exploratory Structural Equation Model of the PHQ‐9 and GAD‐7 in Primary Care

open access: yesInternational Journal of Methods in Psychiatric Research, Volume 35, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction The high comorbidity between depression and anxiety challenges traditional nosological models. In order to better reflect this overlap, dimensional approaches seek to clarify whether these symptoms reflect a single underlying construct of general distress or a more complex multidimensionality. The aim was to examine the underlying
