Explosion wave and explosion fracture characteristics of cylindrical charges

International Journal of Rock Mechanics and Minings Sciences, 2020
Abstract The distribution characteristics of the explosion wave field of a cylindrical charge were investigated in this paper via a high-speed schlieren experiment. Based on the fractal theory, the paper studies the crack propagation characteristics of the media under the action of the cylindrical charge explosion impact at different initiation ...

Explosion characteristics of hexafluorobutadiene

Russian Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2014
The limit of hexafluorobutadiene (HFB) decomposition flame propagation in terms of pressure and the minimum energy of ignition were determined experimentally. The possibility of a HFB decomposition flame transition from a gas phase to a liquid phase was studied. It was shown that the liquid phase of HBF is nondetonable.

Forecasting the characteristics of the explosives

Russian Journal of Applied Chemistry, 2009
The key techniques for forecasting of the properties of the explosives were presented. We acquired an array of the properties approximately for 200 explosives on the basis of literature information and own experimental data. Techniques of an evaluation of the main characteristics of the explosive transformation were developed.

Explosive characteristics of tetrafluoroethylene

Russian Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2014
The minimum energies required to initiate the combustion of gaseous tetrafluoroerthy1ene (TFE) and mixtures thereof with nitrogen, argon, and helium at various initial pressures and temperatures are determined. Flame transition from the gas to the liquid phase of TFE is investigated. Liquid TFE is demonstrated to be virtually nondetonable.

Explosion and detonation characteristics of dimethyl ether

Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2009
In this study, the explosion and detonation characteristics of dimethyl ether (DME) were experimentally investigated. A spherical pressure vessel with an internal volume of 180L was used as the explosion vessel. Therefore, tubes 10m in length with internal diameters of 25mm and 50mm were used as detonation tubes.
