Unlocking the Power of Quercetin‐Encapsulated Mesoporous Bioactive Glass Nanoparticles: A Multifunctional Approach to Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles (MBGNs) are investigated for bone regeneration given their remarkable structural and functional properties. MBGNs are functionalized with Mn and Cu and incorporated with quercetin, a natural flavonoid exhibiting antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties.

Laser Metal Deposition of Aluminum Alloys 7075 and 5083 with the Addition of Volatile Alloying Elements through Powder Blending

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates laser metal deposition of aluminum alloys EN AW‐7075 and EN AW‐5083, using powder blending to compensate zinc and magnesium evaporation. In situ alloying and ex situ alloying with ZnAl12 and AZ91 preserve near‐standard compositions and improve mechanical properties.

Canard explosion in delayed equations with multiple timescales [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We analyze canard explosions in delayed differential equations with a one-dimensional slow manifold. This study is applied to explore the dynamics of the van der Pol slow-fast system with delayed self-coupling.
